The Walsingham Trustees have taken back responsibility for the small garden chapel, built by Sir William Milner and consecrated in 1939, in the grounds of Parcevall Hall in the Yorkshire Dales. The entire estate was bequeathed to the Shrine, and currently the hall itself is leased to the Diocese of Leeds as a retreat house, the grounds being open to the public.
At the moment, there is a Mass each month during the summer and autumn, as plans are developed for its future ministry. All Masses will be celebrated by a priest of The Society.
Already planned are Friday 26th August (with Fr Jeremy Sheehy, of St Peter’s Swinton); Friday 30th September; Friday 21th October (with Fr Darren Percival, of St Hilda’s Cross Green) and Saturday 12th November (Fr Nicholas Turner) each at 12 Noon. As you enter the gardens, tell them you are going to the service at the chapel and you will not have to pay the entrance fee.
